I have to first paint you a picture to understand this post.
I am typing this up from my porch, overlooking my pond, in Missouri, on my 21 acres of secluded paradise! We have just moved in a couple of weeks ago and have been spending time unpacking, sight seeing, sleeping in the hammock, or resting in the hot tub.
I have pondered back over this last year. Where I started, where I wanted to end up, and how I was going to get there. It has been a great ride and its not completed yet. I must admit that I am in an extremely happy spot right now.
I was looking back at my personal journal as I was unpacking and read up what I wrote a little over a year ago. Its completely amazing that I had no idea, at the time, that I would end up in Missouri. But reading what my ideal situation would be, its funny that it happens to be right where Im at!!! I wrote about my hammock on the porch overlooking a lake. Its more of a pond than a lake, but Im not complaining! We have one of those long winding drive ways that we always wanted, lined with full grown oak trees.
To be honest I wrote out exactly what I wanted and I am looking at all of it right now with the exception of two things.
1--I wanted a large shop. This place has a 5 horse barn, but not a concrete floor type shop I wanted. So I guess Ill be building that!
2--I do not have the 1 million in cash, yet!
So because of the move I have not been able to work on it. I just had the pest business appraised at $800k and from what I have made with stocks thus far puts me technically into the millionaire arena. But as I stated when I first started this blog, I wanted it in cash. That, I have not been able to complete. I have a guy wanting to buy the business so we shall see how that goes.
But lets go back to where Im at now. There are not enough words to express my peace right now. Im laying here listening to the birds chirp, swaying in the hammock just as I imagined it. I have a ceiling fan on over the hammock to keep a nice steady breeze going. I can hear a slight hum from the hot tub reminding me that its keeping itself warm for me. The large trees by the house are large enough to keep most of the porch in shade the entire day. Yesterday my kids wanted to race me up and down the driveway. With my motto of working smarter, not harder I quickly took them up on the challenge. I then ran over to the tractor I just bought and raced them down to the road and back up to the house. What a blast it was racing my kids on a TRACTOR!!HAHA. That will be a memory I will never forget. This has been the best move we ever made. I can not ever seeing a reason to move back to a larger city life.
Recently I started taking clients that are looking to be coached. Since I have started and sold several businesses, I feel I have a lot to offer. Whats great about it, is its my passion. I can do it by phone, not having to leave peaceful valley. And the rewards in helping others succeed have been great!
I still plan on reaching my goals, but its going to be harder from the hammock! Thats for sure!
Go live your dreams! Get a pen and paper and write it out! Start now! Within a year, you could easily be well on your way!
