Ok. Been crazy busy again! Im starting to wonder if I can ever slow down again! It seems that everyday is a constant, full day job, of completing this goal!
The computer deal went well. We have sold most of the computers and Ill have more info on what I made in a couple days.
Found a built 454 that a guy needed to sell badly. I gave him $800 for it. I called a friend who owns a shop and asked if I could set it up in his showroom. Its real pretty!HAHA. Guy came in Friday and needed a motor for his work truck. Sold it to him for $2100. Recieved half down and the other half next week, once my buddy has installed it.
I bought Google stock at $310. It shot up to $377 or something like that. I almost just sold it, but I held to it and watched it fall. According to Phil Town's Rule #1 book, its worth alot more per share, so Im holding out. I bought 10 shares.
The website had some hiccups. Its been set back but WILL BE up by the end of the week. And for all those that want a sneek peek, you can see it here: www.OverlandJourney.TV
I am working on my own line of clothing for the site, but that wont be ready for another couple of weeks. Should be something to generate more revenue.
And now for the new venture. One of my exsisting companies is a wildlife control company. When I first started with this challenge, I had an idea to increase revenue thru the company, but that was against the rules. It had to be from scratch. The idea was to get into pest control. Something I hadnt done, but could easily do. I guess you can pick this apart, but Im starting with scratch . It will however be a division of an exsisting company. The only thing I used from my exsisting company was the customer list. I guess that is something that can be bought. But anyway, I started a pest control division. I launched by calling all the customers Ive had in the last year! I was able to sign 20% of them on my first round of calls! Thats a GREAT return. By doing so, I was able to hire one employee with a pest control license to service these customers. I found a Ranger on sale and bought it for $2500. $300 for paint and was in business for under $3k. We have signed enough contracts to cover his payroll. We have yet to make a profit, but his pay is and cost of equipment is covered. So thats great! In his spare time, he will be calling on additional customers. I am also paying my exsisting employees a bonus for each new customer they sign up. So we will see how that goes.
Its really late so Im off to bed for now.
